The USDA Market News Service reports feed ingredient prices for the week ending 
January 2, 2018 were mixed. Soybean Meal was mixed, 22.30 lower to 6.70 higher. 
Cottonseed Meal was steady to 5.00 lower. Whole Cottonseed was mixed, 3.00 lower to 
10.00 higher. Canola Meal was mixed, 1.70 lower to 7.70 higher. Linseed Meal was 
steady. Sunflower Meal was steady to 10.00 lower. Crude Soybean Oil was mixed, 52 
points lower to 43 points higher. Crude Corn Oil was steady. Ruminant Meat and Bone 
Meal was mixed, 15.00 lower to 15.00 higher, mostly steady. Ruminant Blood Meal 40.00 
to 85.00 higher with limited comparable sales. Feather Meal was steady to 15.00 
higher. Menhaden Fishmeal was steady. Corn Hominy was steady to 6.00 higher. Corn 
Gluten Feed was steady to 15.00 higher. Corn Gluten Meal was mixed, 10.00 lower to 
18.00 higher. Distillers Dried Grain was steady to 15.00 higher. Wheat Middlings were 
steady to 5.00 higher. Wheat millrun was mixed, 3.00 lower to 5.00 higher.

Oilseeds: The Januay Soybean Meal futures closed 1.70 lower at 313.50, March closed 
1.20 lower at 317.90. The January Soybean Oil futures closed 16 points higher at 
33.38 cents per pound, March closed 16 points higher at 33.55 cents per pound. 
Soybean Meal in Central Illinois was mixed, 22.30 lower to 0.70 higher from 282.90-
316.90; Indiana-Ohio was 2.70 higher from 292.90-311.90; Iowa was 2.70 higher from 
274.90-295.90; Kansas City had no comparison at 290.90; Minneapolis 2.30 to 3.30 
lower from 271.90-282.90; St. Louis was 2.00 to 16.00 lower from 312.00-323.00; 
Memphis was 11.20 to 19.40 lower from 316.80-318.60; Portland was steady to 2.90 
higher from 335.90-347.00; BN Santa Fe delivered Chino Valley was 4.70 to 6.70 higher 
from 338.90-343.90; Union Pacific delivered Chino Valley was 3.70 higher from 338.90-
340.90. Cottonseed Meal FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady 
to 3.00 lower from 257.00-275.00; Kansas City was steady from 235.00-285.00; St. 
Louis was steady at 280.00; Memphis was 5.00 lower from 225.00-230.00. Whole 
Cottonseed FOB the Central San Joaquin Valley in California was steady to 3.00 lower 
from 272.00-280.00; delivered to Portland was steady from 265.00-310.00; Memphis was 
10.00 higher at 160.00. Offers for nearby delivered Canola Meal, 34 to 36 percent 
protein, delivered to Portland was steady to 1.70 higher from 249.90-270.00; 
Minneapolis was mixed, 1.70 lower to 7.70 higher from 198.50-207.90. Linseed Meal, 34 
pct protein was steady in North Dakota-Minnesota from 205.00-215.00. Sunflower Meal, 
23 pct fiber, 28 pct protein was steady to 10.00 lower from 165.00-185.00 in the 
North Dakota-Minnesota area. The Soybean Oil in Central Illinois was 17 to 52 points 
lower from 31.70-32.55 cents per pound; Indiana-Ohio was 7 points lower to 35 points 
lower from 32.38-33.55 cents per pound; Iowa was mixed, 7 points lower to 43 points 
higher from 31.88-33.13 cents per pound; Minnesota was 33 to 41 points higher from 
32.80-33.13 cents per pound. Crude Corn Oil in Central Illinois was ranged from 
32.00-34.40 cents per pound.

steady from 215.00-225.00; Portland FOB production points was steady to 10.00 lower 
from 200.00-240.00; FOB Central and Northern California was steady from 250.00-
270.00; FOB Los Angeles was steady from 250.00-270.00. Pork Meat and Bone Meal in the 
Central U.S. was not quoted; Eastern Corn Belt was not quoted; Minneapolis 5.00 to 
10.00 lower from 285.00-290.00; St. Louis mixed, 10.00 lower to 10.00 higher from 
270.00-290.00. Ruminant Blood Meal in the Central U.S. was not quoted; FOB the Texas 
Panhandle was not quoted; Minneapolis 40.00 to 50.00 higher from 625.00-850.00; 
delivered to the San Joaquin Valley was 50.00 to 85.00 higher from 750.00-785.00. 
Pork Blood Meal in the Central U.S. was 35.00 higher at 685.00; Eastern Corn Belt was 
unquoted; Minneapolis steady to 50.00 higher from 675.00-925.00. Feather Meal in 
Kansas City was steady from 365.00-415.00; Minneapolis 10.00 to 15.00 higher from 
400.00-475.00; Arkansas had limited trade steady from 340.00-355.00; Mississippi was 
steady from 330.00-340.00. Menhaden Fishmeal in the Gulf having FAQ Quality was 
steady from 1255.00-1450.00; Select Quality was from 1255.00-1450.00. Menhaden 
Fishmeal at the East Coast FAQ Quality was steady from 1355.00-1450.00; and Select 
Quality was steady from 1355.00-1450.00.

CORN FEEDS: Yellow Corn Hominy in Central Illinois was 6.00 higher at 94.00 for rail, 
truck was steady to 5.00 higher from 100.00-110.00. Kansas City (Northwest) was not 
available; St. Louis was steady at 112.00; California rail steady with limited trade 
at 165.00. Corn Gluten Feed in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was steady to 4.00 higher 
from 90.00-115.00; Kansas City was 12.00 to 15.00 higher from 150.00-155.00; St. 
Louis was mixed, 9.00 lower to 3.00 high from 138.00-148.00. Corn Gluten Meal, 60 
percent protein in the Midwest (IA, IL, IN) was mixed, 5.00 lower to 18.00 higher 
from 460.00-503.00; Kansas City was 10.00 lower at 530.00; St. Louis was steady to 
5.00 lower from 530.00-545.00. Distillers Dried Grain prices in Eastern Corn-belt 
were 5.00 higher from 135.00-160.00; Chicago area steady at 135.00; Nebraska was 1.00

WHEAT MILLFEEDS: Wheat Middlings in Buffalo, NY were steady to 5.00 higher from 
90.00-95.00; Kansas City was steady to 5.00 higher from 95.00-135.00; Minneapolis was 
steady from 80.00-105.00; St. Louis was steady from 115.00-140.00. Wheat Millrun 
delivered Portland was 5.00 higher at 135.00; FOB Los Angeles mill was steady to 3.00 
lower from 112.00-130.00.

OTHERS: In the south Rice Bran, Millfeed and Rice Hulls steady. In California, Rice 
Bran prices were steady. Alfalfa Meal prices were steady across the nation this past 
week.
